WHAT IS BREATHWORK

Breathwork refers to the practice of rhythmic, conscious breathing to help shift one’s mental, emotional, and physical state. By activating the parasympathetic nervous system, deep breathing reverses the stress response, oxygenates our cells and organs, and creates a greater sense of calm and clarity.

HOW DOES A BREATHWORK SESSION WORK?

To start, you and your practitioner will talk through what you’re struggling with and set clear intentions for the session. There are a range of breathwork techniques available and your practitioner will guide you through exercises that are most suited to your needs. She may also integrate other healing modalities and give you additional breathwork exercises to continue at home for optimal results.
