Kaisa Coppola, DC
After finishing her undergraduate work, Dr. Coppola planned to obtain her Master’s degree in psychology to pursue a career in counseling until a snowboarding accident led her into three consecutive knee surgeries. A year later, Dr. Coppola was still in a knee brace unable to resume her active lifestyle. Frustrated with traditional medical care, she visited a chiropractor who specialized in Applied Kinesiology and Clinical Nutrition. By focusing on the root cause of her delayed healing process, the doctor was able to identify and treat other health imbalances. This included a thyroid autoimmunity and digestive issues. Within a few weeks, not only was Dr. Coppola running again and back to her normal activities, she also had more energy and focus.
“It’s as if everything came together at once for me. I realized that there are so many components to our health and our body’s ability to heal. I began to think about everything I do including the foods I eat to the thoughts I think…everything affects my body’s ability to be efficient and heal and thrive.”
Dr. Coppola decided to change paths and go to Chiropractic school to help educate people about how their choices affect their health, healing, and life. She specializes in Functional Medicine, Applied Kinesiology, and Nutritional Counseling.
Dr. Coppola has worked as a preceptor doctor for Southern California University of Health Sciences and has been a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and the American Chiropractic Association. She is currently a member of the Institute of Functional Medicine and was previously a member of the International College of Applied Kinesiology.
